The Alcohol By Volume series exists to bring together Minneapolis’ music scene with it’s thriving craft cocktail culture. Last week we announced DJ Wes Winship as the musical guest for our first event February 9th at The Red Stag Supper Club. Today we unveil the first of two bartenders who will be squaring off against each other on Thursday night: Rob Jones.
Currently stirring up drinks at Meritage in St. Paul, Rob has been involved in craft cocktails for a little more than three years. Educated at the Arizona Culinary Institute, Rob decided to leave a glamorous life of getting burned and sweaty in the kitchen for life behind the bar. He has previously worked at Bradstreet Crafthouse, where he became a veteran of Minneapolis’ Iron Bartender competition.
